Pinoyclave Week 2025 is happening this August 25 to 31.Every August, the Philippines celebrates “Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa” (translation: National Language Month). This is traditionally the time to recognize and appreciate the Filipino language—as well as other indigenous languages—as an important part of how we understand who we are as a people and where we come from.August is also “Buwan ng Kasaysayan” (translation: History Month), which recognizes the importance of historical awareness in understanding the Filipino experience. The Philippines also celebrates the Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani (translation: National Heroes’ Day) on the last Monday of August, which falls on the 25th this year. Therefore, we thought it fitting to hold Pinoyclave Week 2025 around this time to get into the spirit of these events..

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Do I have to be Filipino to join Pinoyclave Week 2025?
Nope! Everyone is welcome, whether you’re Filipino, part-Filipino, or simply passionate about Filipino culture. We’d love to have you! Just please make sure to be respectful when depicting the culture in your work. If you’re not sure about certain details, feel free to ask the organizers for their insights!
What language should I use for my entry?
You may use any language. English is very much welcome as long as the prompt is still being followed, but we also encourage integrating Filipino or other local languages as part of the spirit of the event!
❗ However, for the NSFW Day 7 Prompt (Free Day: Filipino Dirty Talk), we require that at least one Conclave character uses Filipino/local language in the dirty talk dialogue. The narration can be in English (or still in Filipino), but the dialogue involving the dirty talk must include Filipino phrasing.
What if I miss a day or post late? Will my entry still count, and am I still eligible for prizes?
Yes, late submissions are allowed! We understand that life gets in the way. While timely posts may earn bonus points, late entries will still be counted and appreciated. What matters is you submit your entries on or before the deadline (September 1st)!
Is it okay if my entries have different formats?
Yes, you’re free to experiment! Your Day 1 can be a fic, Day 2 a playlist, Day 3 a meme, etc. No need to keep the same format throughout the week.
Can I combine multiple prompts into one entry or compile all my works (SFW/NSFW) into a single project?
We highly encourage participants to stick to each prompt available on the list. You may borrow themes from the other weekday prompts but works must be listed under a specific day!
Can I submit multiple entries for the same prompt/day? If so, how will you determine which one qualifies for prizes?
It depends! If you're just casually posting, you may submit multiple entries for the same prompt/day. If you're joining the contest, you'd have to submit only one (1) entry per prompt.
Can we submit or promo old works as well? Some fanweeks allow that.
It depends. We generally prefer newly created entries, but you can repurpose older drafts or ideas as long as they have not been widely posted before and fit the prompt. However, if you're joining the contest, we do not accept repurposed works as official entries.
Are OCs (original characters) & yumeships allowed?
Yes, OCs and yumesonas are welcome as long as they’re still within the Conclave universe or fanon. We encourage everyone to share their OCs & yumeships, the more characters, the better! Just tag properly, and respect everyone’s preferences!
Am I qualified for prizes even if my entries are all WIPs?
We love seeing works-in-progress, but only completed entries will be accepted as official entries and will be scored for prize eligibility. You’re still welcome to share your WIPs for fun and community engagement!
If I participate in both SFW and NSFW prompts and complete them all, do I get double prizes?
Nope, no doubles here! We encourage participants to complete one set of prompts. But please, we still welcome you to participate in both out of fun!
Can I collaborate with another participant on an entry? If we win, will we both receive a prize or just one to share?
Collabs are absolutely welcome for fun and casual participation, we love seeing creative teamwork! However, collaborative entries will not be eligible for prizes due to budget and manpower constraints. Only solo entries can qualify for prize consideration. You’re still very much encouraged to collaborate and share your work with the community though!
Are the prizes for sale?
Nope! The point of the contest is for the participants to earn the prints, photocards, and stickers, not buy them! Perhaps Ley might be open to selling them in the future, but for now, they’re not for sale!
Will there be another Pinoyclave Week in the future?
We hope so! If this event goes well and there’s continued interest, we’d love to bring Pinoyclave Week back. Your support and participation play a big part in making that happen. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat! ♡
